Program Officer – North Lawndale
In her role as a Program Officer on the North Lawndale team, Justeen focuses on partnering with non-profit organizations that lead workforce-based initiatives to increase employment opportunities for community residents in North Lawndale. Justeen manages a portfolio of workforce development and economic development grants.
Prior to joining the Steans Family Foundation, Justeen served as the Director of Community and Strategic Partnerships at Skills for Chicagoland’s Future, where she partnered with 50+ community organizations to bring career opportunities to Chicagoland residents. She previously served as a wraparound facilitator and intact case manager for youth in care impacted by the justice system.
Justeen holds a B.A. in English and a minor in Women’s Studies from Northern Illinois University and a Master’s of Public Policy and Leadership Studies from DePaul University. In her free time, Justeen enjoys volunteering and taking weight lifting classes.
