Program Officer – North Lawndale
Floyd Stafford is a Program Officer for the Steans Family Foundation in the North Lawndale program area. As Program Officer, Floyd works with the SFF North Lawndale and Policy & Ecosystem teams and partners to implement programmatic strategy focused on violence prevention, public safety and capacity building in the North Lawndale community. Prior to joining SFF, Floyd managed the North Lawndale Community Project for Heartland Alliance’s Rapid Employment and Development Initiative (READI) Chicago Project. There, Floyd worked with high risk individuals impacted by gun violence. In a previous position, Floyd worked for the Cook County Justice Advisory Council (JAC) to assist with safely reducing the population at the Cook County Jail and the Juvenile Temporary Detention Center.

Floyd graduated with a B.A. in Social Work from Northeastern Illinois University, and a M.A. in Social Work / Health Administration and Policy from the University of Chicago Crown School of Social Work. He collects vintage vinyl records as a hobby. Floyd is a proud girl-dad to four daughters.
