sGrants Manager

Marissa Filippo, Grants Manager for the Steans Family Foundation, provides support to the Foundation’s grantees throughout the grantmaking lifecycle. Marissa’s responsibilities include providing guidance to grantees and supporting them through application and reporting to enable Foundation staff to conduct a thorough review of proposals and the use of grant funds.

 

Prior to joining the Steans Family Foundation, Marissa held the position of Strategic Project Manager for the Dental Assisting National Board, Inc. where she was responsible for staffing the board of directors and supporting senior leadership with special projects and operations functions. Her professional experience includes her role as Nonprofit Programs Manager at Forefront, where she managed the organization’s workshop offerings, and lead coordination with partners to program events around the state.

A graduate of the University of Illinois, with a B.A. in English, and M.A in Humanities from Arizona State University, Marissa is a longtime Chicago resident, where she lives with her wife.  Marissa enjoys the arts, especially movies.
