Prior to joining the Steans Family Foundation, Marissa held the position of Strategic Project Manager for the Dental Assisting National Board, Inc. where she was responsible for staffing the board of directors and supporting senior leadership with special projects and operations functions. Her professional experience includes her role as Nonprofit Programs Manager at Forefront, where she managed the organization’s workshop offerings, and lead coordination with partners to program events around the state.
A graduate of the University of Illinois, with a B.A. in English, and M.A in Humanities from Arizona State University, Marissa is a longtime Chicago resident, where she lives with her wife, Julie and their three cats. Marissa loves the arts, especially movies, and isn’t too picky about what she enjoys.
